Democrats like politician Kari Rehrauer caused the price of your car tabs to skyrocket by voting in 2023 for astronomical increases that just kicked in this year. Now, rather than provide relief from those extremely high fees, Kari Rehrauer voted unanimously with her party to keep your tab fees high, even threatening further to "quintuple" those registration fees!
The Democrats' car tab fee(asco) is another example of a blatant money grab by the state government. Let’s compare Minnesota with our rival to the east: In Wisconsin, a car owner will pay roughly $85 per year to register a $30,000 vehicle. In Minnesota, average fees for the exact same vehicle are now around $400! A two-year-old Chevy Tahoe, for example, would cost more than $1,000 in annual car tab fees! That’s outrageous.
